At that time, the hotel had just two rooms surrounding what is still today one of its most emblematic spaces: the round lounge.<\/p>\n<p>The young couple who founded it, Ana and Asensio, began this adventure with great enthusiasm, although not without difficulties. In those days, reaching Cala Fornells was not easy, and several anecdotes from that time have become part of our story. One of the most memorable took place during the great snowfall of 1956, which left the hotel completely isolated. To help some guests catch their flight, Asensio rowed them in a small boat to Peguera so they could reach the airport.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, the hotel gradually grew to reach its 90 rooms today. All of them have been renovated over time, always respecting the original character and <strong>Mediterranean spirit<\/strong> that have defined the hotel since its beginnings.<\/p>\n<p>Today, almost eight decades later, Hotel Cala Fornells remains a <strong>family-run hotel<\/strong>, now managed by the <strong>third generation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Staying at Hotel Cala Fornells means becoming part of our family. We continue to be guided by the same values of hospitality with which everything began in 1947, with a constant commitment to renew and improve while preserving the essence that makes this place special.<\/p>\n<p>Because for us, hospitality is not simply a profession \u2014 it is a <strong>family tradition<\/strong> that we continue to share with every guest who arrives in Cala Fornells.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And that is how we have been sharing 79 years of hospitality in Cala Fornells<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section
